CEWEP is monitoring Ireland’s landfill capacity. We are researching all existing and future landfill facilities.

We have identified for each facility:

• capacity approved by the EPA and An Bord Pleanala;
• life span;
• proposed facilities; and
• proposed extensions to existing facilities

and compared the approved and proposed landfill capacity for each region to that identified in the Waste Management Plan for that region.
